Aromatherapy Soy Pillar Candles – No Smoke Aromatherapy Candles!

Aromatherapy is being widely practiced today in the form of aromatherapy soy pillar candles. Although the use of scents and essential oils has gained a lot of popularity in recent times in the form of essential bath oils, massage oils, aromatic steam baths, scented candles and aroma treated pot pourri, the use of soy pillar candles in aromatherapy is still a relatively newer term.

Aromatherapy scented candles provide a great way to refresh and recharge our tired spirits after a day’s hard work. Just sit in your favorite armchair or relax on the couch, light up a scented candle and pick up a good book to read. That’s all you need to do to enjoy the cleansing and therapeutic benefits of aromatherapy candles! However, the use of aromatherapy soy pillar candles goes one step even further than that!

Clean And Smoke-Free!

It is often noticed that using ordinary paraffin wax candles for aromatherapy leaves behind a certain lopsided or sunken wax residue, not to mention the faint wisp of smoke that it emits while burning. The candle jars also get blackened to some extent using these wax candles. If you don’t like that sooty results from those candles, then aromatherapy soy pillar candles are just the right choice for you!

These soy candles are made up of soy, instead of the paraffin wax, and they burn more evenly and cleanly than the wax candles. So for the aesthetically inclined people, they are a better bargain than the ordinary wax candles. Not only that, they are also a better bet for your purse, as they burn more slowly than the wax candles! This means that a soy candle lasts longer than a paraffin candle, and you can enjoy your favorite scents for a longer period of time without needing a replacement!

Eco-Friendly And Natural

Aromatherapy soy pillar candles are made up of totally natural vegetable products. Soy is one of the key crops in Asian countries. Its harvest even replenishes certain nutrients in the soil, like nitrogen. And as for its disposal, it is a totally bio-degradable product, as the soy candles are completely water-soluble. So if you discard your partially burnt soy candles, they will quickly decompose and merge back with the earth, not adding any more to the life-endangering waste problem on our planet!

On the other hand, paraffin candles are made up of chemicals obtained from the petroleum industry, with limited natural ingredients and very little bio-degradability, unless burnt away to completion. Moreover, aromatherapy soy pillar candles, being made up of vegetable materials, make it easier for the candle makers to mix the essential oils with the wax. This results in better scented candles, which provide a consistent and more evenly disbursed aromatherapy experience!

Aromatherapy candles induce a great overall feeling of wellness and health, both at physical and mental levels. Placed in decorative candleholders, these candles also add a decorative element to your room. As such, they make an excellent gift item for all your near and dear ones! Infact, you can even get packaged offers on the internet, which include similar effect inducing aroma candles, perfumes or colognes and massage oils or bath oils! Aromatherapy soy pillar candles are a clean, odorless and eco-friendly method to burn your way to good health and they make a uniquely special way to tell your friends and loved ones that “you care!”

About Aromatherapy Recipes – A Beginners’ Guide

If you are interested in the art of aromatherapy, then this article is just the right place for you to start learning about aromatherapy recipes. The sense of smell has a great power on our system, and it is highly capable of invoking a strong emotional reaction. In fact, smell is one of the most powerful and also the most underrated of our senses! Aromatherapy today is widely used for various therapeutic reasons, and has an immediate subtle effect on our body, mind and spirit!

A Do-It-Yourself Art

The correct use of smells can help in relaxation, provide refreshment, sedate or even stimulate! Although the art seems a bit difficult and complicated to learn in the beginning, with all the various essential oils, bath salts and even aromatic candles, you will find that you can easily get the hang of aromatherapy recipes with a little bit of patience and dedication. And very soon you will be concocting your own special aromatherapy recipes for bath salts and massage oils!

Many people are under the misconception that aromatherapy involves the complex use of strange pieces of equipment and equally complicated procedures! They couldn’t be more wrong! The entire mystery about aromatherapy recipes can be explained with just a few basic guidelines about mixing oils and some examples.

The Basics Of Creating Scents

The first step, obviously, is determining what kind of effect you need from the scent. As mentioned above, aromatherapy recipes can be made for various uses – whether you need to relax after a long, tiring day at work; or to get rid of those stubborn backaches or migraines; or for a sensual massage for your special someone. Aromatherapy oils can be used for different moods at different times, and also for healing.

Once you have decided on what you need the recipe for, you need to look up the essential oils which create that mood or have that effect you desire. A simple rule of the thumb, about aromatherapy recipes, is to always use similar oils together in a recipe. For example, if you want a soothing floral essence in your bath oil, you can mix Lavender and Rose in any basic carrier oil. If you want something spicy and invigorating, you can use a citrus smell combined with Myrrh.

For creating room fresheners, add 20-30 drops of an essential oil, like Lemon or Pine, into an ounce of distilled water in a spritzer, a simple spray bottle easily found at any drug store. Bath salts are another easy recipe to prepare. Just mix 10 drops of your favorite essential oil with about 2 cups of a bath salt, like Epsom salts, and add a few drops of moisturizing carrier oil.

Points To Remember

An important thing to know about aromatherapy recipes is that these oils are highly volatile and instable, and they are extremely sensitive to ultraviolet radiations. Also, they react with plastic. So you should always use a glass or porcelain bowl or bottle for mixing and storing essential aromatherapy oils.

Another point to remember is that too much essential oil can cause skin irritation. So always be careful in mixing not more than 10 drops of essential oil in an ounce of carrier oil. And not all aromatherapy oils are safe to use on small children. So consult a licensed aroma-therapist to learn how to use the ingredients safely and for a better understanding about aromatherapy recipes.
